Tonalá, Jalisco, May 26, 2025 – With an investment of $1.4 billion pesos, Arca Continental, one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, inaugurated its new Distribution Center (CEDI) in Tonalá, Jalisco, making it the largest of its kind within the company’s global operations. This project is part of its sustainable growth and logistics expansion strategy in the western region of the country.

The new facility will be responsible for distributing to more than 40,000 customers in Tonalá, Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Tlajomulco, and El Salto, and is expected to generate up to 1,200 direct and indirect jobs, strengthening Arca Continental’s operational presence in the eastern part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area.

With 14,200 m² of construction, the CEDI has the capacity to handle 1.25 million physical cases, over 40,000 pallets, and 245 distribution routes to serve more than 40,000 customers across all sales channels. It also stands out for its sustainable infrastructure, featuring rainwater harvesting and water treatment systems, as well as 580 solar panels covering an area of 1,000 m². These panels will generate 300 KWH of clean energy, preventing the emission of approximately 534 tons of CO₂ per year.

The inauguration event was led by Jesús Pablo Lemus, Constitutional Governor of Jalisco, Sergio Chávez, Municipal President of Tonalá, along with other state cabinet officials, federal and state legislators, and municipal authorities.
