Hecho _en _mexico -04

Mexico City, March 6, 2025 – With nearly 100 years of presence in the country, the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry has established itself as a key driver of Mexico’s economy and employment.A recent study conducted by Steward Redqueenhighlights the significant impact that its operations have on the nation.

This study underscores a crucial aspect of the system: behind every product—across more than 20 brands spanning categories such as water, dairy, carbonated beverages, advanced hydration drinks, teas, coffee, juices, and nectars—there is the dedication of millions of people and families who depend on this industry. Their efforts not only make these beverages available but also contribute to the country’s economic development.

This impact is made possible through the coordinated efforts of eight Mexican bottling partners: Arca Continental, Bepensa, Bebidas Refrescantes de Nogales, Coca-Cola FEMSA, Corporación del Fuerte, Corporación Rica, Embotelladora de Colima, and Embotelladora del Nayar, along with Jugos del Valle-Santa Clara. Together, they operate 73 bottling plants, run by Mexican hands within an extensive ecosystem of supply, production, and commerce, ensuring a diversified beverage portfolio designed to accompany families in every moment of their lives.

Key Findings of the Report:
• Generation of more than 1.7 million direct and indirect jobs, representing 2.8% of total employment in the country:
◦ The companies within the system collectively generate 101,900 direct jobs.
◦ Indirect employment accounts for 1.6 million jobs, with small retail businesses (such as corner stores) being the largest contributors, employing 1,218,000 people.

• A contribution of MXN 715.7 billion to Mexico’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), equivalent to 2% of the national total:
◦ The commerce sector benefits the most, with an impact of MXN 272.7 billion, including all channels selling Coca-Cola products, particularly small retail stores.
◦ Services sector: MXN 74.6 billion.
◦ Manufacturing sector: MXN 61.8 billion.
◦ Transportation sector: MXN 25.6 billion.

These figures highlight that behind every product, beyond the numbers, there are stories of Mexicans whose efforts drive the economy and strengthen communities. From production and distribution employees to small business owners, the Mexican Coca-Cola Industry demonstrates that business growth and social well-being can go hand in hand.
