  • Saltillo, Coahuila, April 1, 2025. As part of its commitment to sustainable development and water conservation, Arca Continental, one of the world's largest Coca-Cola bottlers, Coca-Cola México, the Local Government of Saltillo, and the State Government of Coahuila distributed 10,000 water-saving showerheads to families in Saltillo, promoting water savings in the region.

  • With an investment of $430,000 pesos, these showerheads have the "Ecological Grade" certification endorsed by CONAGUA, ensuring a consumption of only 3.8 liters of water per minute, compared to conventional showerheads that can consume more than 10 liters per minute.

  • María Bárbara Cepeda Boehringer, Secretary of Citizen Engagement, Social Innovation Projects, and Public-Productive Investment, stated: "On behalf of the government of Coahuila, I extend a special thanks to Arca Continental for their great willingness to work as a team on this great project, which represents a true commitment to all Coahuilenses, not only in terms of water savings but also economically. Our goal is to distribute a total of 33,000 showerheads, with the remaining 23,000 being delivered to different municipalities in our state."

  • Javier Díaz González, Mayor of Saltillo, added: "The implementation of this program fills us with excitement but, above all, gratitude, which is reflected in how we managed to coordinate between different levels of government and Arca Continental, with the aim of contributing our bit to make Saltillo better."

  • Thanks to the installation of these 10,000 showerheads, a potential saving of 62,000 liters of water per minute is estimated, representing more than 325 million liters per year, equivalent to up to 60% savings in domestic consumption in Saltillo.

  • José Juan Estrada Salazar, Director of the Northeast Region at Arca Continental México, highlighted the importance of this initiative as part of the company's sustainability strategy: "At Arca Continental, we are committed to operating a sustainable business model that drives the development of our communities. This initiative is a clear example of our commitment to water security, as the use of these showerheads will allow significant water savings in Saltillo households. We will continue working on innovative solutions that enable us to make a positive difference in the regions where we operate."
  • With actions like this, Arca Continental and Coca-Cola México reaffirm their commitment to water security, sustainability, and community well-being, contributing to a more environmentally responsible future.
